The Juspay payments orchestrator has been our instrument in walking this talk and has evolved into a sophisticated payments operating system.

We are a payments TSP (Technology Service Provider) and work with leading merchants as their extended payments team to help unify and tackle the complex and rapidly evolving payments ecosystem around the globe. Merchants use our tech to connect with multiple payment aggregators and to direct bank APIs. They also use our value-added services to achieve a comprehensive and seamless checkout experience, improve conversions, and optimize payment fees and operational costs.

With these principles in mind, Juspay's services are built to give our merchant teams the superpowers to drive their ambitious payments roadmap. We want to keep providing more value, flexibility, control, and visibility to the merchants so they can use us as their own systems, similar to how they use cloud services.

Highlighting some of our products and ecosystem contributions here

• Juspay Express Checkout / Orchestrator - We launched it in 2012-13 to support card tokenization with any payment processor. This has evolved into a sophisticated payments management system as described above.
• Juspay Safe - Launched in 2014, we built a first-in-the-world embedded payments browser to optimize mobile bank pages for Netbanking and to support seamless automatic OTP processing / 2FA experience.
• Presto and EulerHS - This was our first attempt at open-sourcing our SDK and backend platforms. HyperSDK, built with these platforms, is one of the largest payments SDKs in the world, serving hundreds of millions of users via our merchant partners.
• UPI Ecosystem Contributions (2016) - We have contributed to the UPI ecosystem with our core expertise in SDK tech, building the BHIM app and providing highly reliable backend infrastructure.
• Juspay HyperCheckout (2018) - The most configurable payments page design system. It is built with Presto and hence provides a Native UI experience matching the theme and interaction of leading apps. Juspay studio lets merchants customize HyperCheckout with configs & even with advanced code extensions.
• HyperCredit (2021) - A credit marketplace that started as an implementation of OCEN protocol and many services built around it for instant credit decisioning, loan application and collections.
• Namma Yatri (2021) - What started as an exploration of FIDE’s Beckn protocol, got built as an open-source ride-hailing platform on the ONDC network. MovingTech is a spinoff of Juspay and is run independently with a lot of synergies in the culture and engineering methods of both companies.
• HyperSwitch (2022) - An open-source version of the orchestrator launched initially for the European and US markets. It has gained good traction in the open-source community, and our long-term plan is to integrate Juspay Orchestrator features into HyperSwitch.

We are also constantly working towards building a deep engineering culture: building our own native SDK framework, adopting functional programming, and a lot of internal frameworks to achieve the hard trio, high productivity + high quality + cost effectiveness. We believe our first principles engineering approach and R&D investments will add long-term value to our partners.

Towards Open Source, Transparency and Collaboration

You can also see our latest bets are towards embracing open source. Especially with Hyperswitch, we are looking forward to building an open payments operating system, like the Linux for Payments. While starting at addressing the Western markets, we will build it for the entire world. It is gaining traction globally, demonstrating our commitment to making our innovative solutions available worldwide.
