As part of our mission to redefine financial technology, we are building a White-Labeled SaaS Design System to unify our product ecosystem. This design system will ensure scalability, consistency, and accessibility, empowering our teams and customers to build seamless fintech products efficiently.

We are looking for a Product Designer to take ownership of the design system, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and create industry-leading components and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design System Development
    1. Define and build a comprehensive design system to unify Juspay’s products, ensuring scalability and customisability.
    2. Establish a token-based system (colors, typography, spacing) to enable consistency and adaptability across products and brands.
    3. Create and maintain a component library.
    4. Design enterprise-ready components with a focus on usability, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and visual clarity.
    5. Advocate and implement inclusive design practices, ensuring the system supports diverse users, including those with disabilities.
  2. Collaboration and Documentation
    1. Collaborate with developers to integrate design tokens into React libraries and ensure seamless implementation.
    2. Write clear and concise documentation for component usage, token definitions, and accessibility guidelines.
    3. Leverage collaboration tools (e.g., Figma, Storybook) to streamline design-developer handoffs.
  3. Strategy and Adoption
    1. Drive adoption of the design system by conducting internal workshops and creating training materials for designers, developers, and product teams.
    2. Develop governance models for feedback and version control, ensuring iterative improvement of the system.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Must-Have Skills
    1. Proven experience in designing and managing design systems for SaaS platforms.
    2. Strong understanding of component libraries, design tokens, and scalable UI frameworks.
    3. Expertise in accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
    4. Proficiency in Figma, Storybook, and other design-development collaboration tools.
    5. Ability to write developer focused documentation for design systems and components.
  2. Good-to-Have Skills
    1. Familiarity with React and its integration with design systems.
    2. Experience designing for multi-brand or white-labeled environments.
  3. Soft Skills
    1. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with designers, developers, and product managers.
    2. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term deliverables.
    3. Empathy for diverse user needs and a commitment to designing for accessibility.
