# ClickToPay with Passkeys




## **Overview** 



Click to Pay with Passkeys is a simplified and secure online checkout experience developed under the **EMV® Secure Remote Commerce (SRC)**  standard by EMVCo. It aims to streamline card payments by reducing the friction of manual card entry and leveraging tokenization and PASSKEY authentication methods. It is a future-forward approach aligning with the global shift toward passwordless and biometric authentication.


### **What are Passkeys?** 



Passkeys are a **passwordless authentication method**  based on the **FIDO2/WebAuthn**  standard. They replace traditional passwords with device biometrics (e.g., fingerprint, facial recognition) or PINs for authentication.
