# **Autofill and Prefill Customer Details** 



Juspay supports **Autofill**  and **Prefill**  to improve the customer experience, reduce manual-entry errors, and help customers complete applications faster.


### **Autofill** 



Autofill allows the merchant to provide customer information while creating the order. Details such as the customer’s name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, and other borrower information can be shared through the **Session API** .

Juspay uses the information received from the merchant to automatically populate the corresponding fields in the loan journey UI.

You can also configure whether the customer is:

* **Allowed to Edit**  the pre-populated information, or
* **Lock**  the information to make it read-only.

Any information required for the loan application that is not provided through the Session API shall be collected from the customer through the Juspay UI.


### **Pre-fill** 



Pre-fill is used for returning customers. When a customer initiates a new order using a customer_id that already exists in Juspay’s records, eligible information captured during the customer’s previous loan journey can be populated automatically in the new journey.

This prevents returning customers from entering the same details again and helps them complete the application more quickly.

Prefill is subject to the availability of previously captured customer data and a successful match using the customer_id. Any required information that is unavailable, incomplete, or not eligible for reuse will be collected from the customer through the Juspay UI.
