Authorising an eSign eMandate

Step-by-step guide to authorising an NACH Debit eMandate via Aadhaar eSign on LotusPay.

Whatever route you go through, you will arrive on your merchant's eSign eMandate authorisation page on our secure website. On this page, you will check the mandate details and agree to proceed with authorising it.

Step 1. Read the NACH Debit consent and check your details, then click Continue.

Step 2. Read the resident consent, check the consent box, enter your Aadhaar number or Virtual IDlink icon, and click Request OTP.

Step 3. Check your mobile for a new SMS from XY-ADHAAR (XY can be AD, VD etc.). The SMS will look similar to this:

OTP for Aadhaar (XXXX1234) is 882343 and is valid for 30 minutes. (Generated at 2018-06-01 10:59:30)

Sometimes the SMS can take a few seconds to arrive. Wait at least three minutes before cancelling.

Step 4. Enter the OTP value and click Submit.

That's it! You'll then see a confirmation page like this:

If the merchant has provided a redirect link, you may be redirected back to their site. Otherwise you can simply close this page.

Troubleshooting tips

In rare cases, you may have trouble completing the above eSign steps. Not to worry! You can always try again using the same link that you started the process from.

SMS not received

If you did not receive the SMS within three minutes, there could be a few reasons:

  • Issue: The SMS went to a different number than what you were expecting. Solution: Double check the number that is updated on your Aadhaar.

  • Issue: There is a delay in the system. Solution: Wait some time and try again later.

Error message on eSign page

If you're seeing an error message on the eSign page:

  • Issue: You entered an invalid Virtual ID number. Solution: Double check the Virtual ID number that you entered.

  • Issue: There is a system error. Solution: Wait some time and try again later.
