Creating and managing agents
You can create agents that have restricted functionality. Agents can use the public agent forms to create sources for physical, emandate_api and emandate_esign variants. If your LotusPay account is enabled for physical mandates, you and your field agents can use the LotusPay NACH mobile app to scan physical NACH mandates.
You may want your employees or representatives to assist customers in authorising physical mandates, API eMandates and eSign eMandates, away from your main office. We call these people agents.
There is no limit on the number of agents that you can create.
You can manage your agents in LotusPay. They are not users, so they won't have access to the dashboard, but they can create sources using LotusPay webforms.
Creating an agent
Step 1. Log into the dashboard and go to Settings > Agents.
Step 2. Click on Create.
Step 3. Enter the details (name, mobile, email address, identification, agent code) of the agent and click on Create. Agent code is any unique value that you want to assign to the agent - you may select one of mobile, email or identification. This same code is used by the agent in the public agent forms.
Managing agents
The agent list page shows all agent details except email, mobile and identification. You can view these fields by clicking on the Edit button, or by exporting the data. The agent list page also lets you search, sort and filter.
To edit an agent, click on Edit next to the agent. You can edit the name and mobile number only.
To disable an agent, click on Disable next to the agent.
Agents: source emandate_api variant and emandate_esign variant
See this article for more details on the public agent form.
Agents: source physical variant
See this article for more details on the public agent form.
Copy the Limited API Key and share it with the agent. They can use this key to log into the LotusPay NACH mobile app for scanning physical NACH mandates. They will be able to see only the sources assigned to themselves.
Agent's limited API keys can perform the following API actions on mandates assigned to itself:
GET Mandate List (status filter
pendingand variant filterphysical)GET Mandate Individual (status filter
pendingand variant filterphysical)POST Physical Mandate Image
Bulk agent creation
If you want to create agents in bulk, create a CSV file in the following format and email it to support@lotuspay.com for us to create your agents.
Column A: heading 'name' - name of the agent, special characters not permitted.
Column B: heading 'mobile' - 10-digit India mobile number, spaces and special characters not permitted.
Column C: heading 'email' - email address of the agent, spaces not permitted.
Column D: heading 'identification' - employee ID of the agent, spaces and special characters not permitted.
Column E: heading 'code' - enter one of the the following: 'mobile', 'email', or 'identification'. All the values should be identical e.g. all should be the word 'identification'. The agent will use this mobile/email/identification to submit public forms.
Sources and agents
Sources created by/for an agent are linked to that agent. You can view the agent of a source in two ways:
Go to the individual Source page on the dashboard. The Agent field shows the Agent ID and the agent's name.
Export bulk source data from the Sources page. The 'agent' column shows the Agent ID. You can filter the data in the spreadsheet to view sources by Agent ID. You can export agent details from the Agents page and cross-reference the source Agent ID against the agent's name with VLOOKUP in the spreadsheet.
Note that mandates are not directly linked to agents, but you can build this logic in your application or offline: Agent => Source => Mandate.
