eSign eMandate pricing and setup

NACH Debit eSign eMandates have separate pricing and setup procedure.

Setup fee:

As per our offer letter / service agreement.

Mandate registration fees:

For NACH Debit CREATE mandate registration, this is the sum of:

(1) Sponsor bank fee (including NPCI fee)

(2) LotusPay software service fee

(3) eSign token of Rs 5 (plus GST) plus eSign UIDAI government fee of Rs 3 (including GST).

If you are using LotusPay's sponsor bank, the fee for (1) and (2) are combined and specified in the offer letter or merchant agreement. If you're using your own sponsor bank, the fee for (1) and (2) are separate.

eSign token fees

Item (3) (the eSign fees) must be purchased from LotusPay in bulk, in advance. Minimum order quantity: 1,000 tokens (e.g. 1,000 tokens would cost Rs 8,900, which includes 18% GST).

When we observe that you have consumed most of your prepaid tokens, or if you have already gone overdrawn, we will send you an invoice for you to purchase a further suitable quantity of eSign tokens (as per your pattern of consumption).

You can view your eSign consumption by going to Dashboard > eSign Transactions, and filtering status for 'success'. The total count is visible in the bottom right corner of the list.

The eSign token fee and eSign UIDAI two fees are incurred upon a successful eSign transaction i.e. a token is consumed only after the customer enters the OTP and sees success on the ESP gateway page. One eSign token is consumed to authorise and submit one emandate_esign variant source.

ACH Debit transaction fees:

ACH Debit transaction process and pricing are independent of mandate variant, and are identical for all mandate variants.

Other information

Overall, 99.2% of successful eSign transactions lead to creation of mandates acknowledged by NPCI (some get rejected if there is a fault in the eSign process).

Overall, 76.3% of acknowledged mandates get accepted by destination banks. The remainder are usually rejected due to Aadhaar number not being mapped to bank account - therefore you can increase this success rate by asking the customer to ensure that their Aadhaar number is mapped to their bank account.

NACH and service fees are separate and as per your existing billing arrangement with us and with your sponsor bank. If your existing offer letter or agreement does not mention emandate_esign variant, please contact Support for pricing of these fees.

Getting started

1. Email LotusPay Support and ask for activation of emandate_esign variant. Be sure to quote your Merchant Account ID (visible in Dashboard > Settings menu) and the order quantity of eSign tokens.

2. We will send you the invoice for payment and activate emandate_esign variant in your Test account.

3. Once you've made payment we will activate emandate_esign variant in your Live account. Further documentation may be necessary from your sponsor bank and/or NPCI.

4. There is no wallet or system allocation for eSign tokens. If we observe that you're approaching consumption of the entire purchased volume, we will advise you to buy more tokens. You can check your consumption by going to Dashboard > eSign Transactions and filter for status = success. In general, the number of submitted emandate_esign sources equals the number of successful eSign transactions (i.e. consumed tokens).
