Setting the Outage thresholds
Step 2: Review and update Outages thresholds on Juspay Dasboard
Once enabled, Juspay Outages works with Default thresholds that have been defined for different severity levels of outage
Health status is marked as Fluctuating when equivalent to 20 consecutive transactions have failed for a payment instrument
Health status is marked as Down when equivalent to 45 consecutive transactions have failed for a payment instrument
You can change these thresholds as per your business requirements further:
Aggressive thresholds:
Health status is marked as Fluctuating when equivalent to 5 consecutive transactions fail for a payment instrument.
Health status is marked as Down when equivalent to 20 consecutive transactions fail for a payment instrument.
Lenient thresholds:
Health status is marked as Fluctuating when equivalent to 45 consecutive transactions fail for a payment instrument.
Health status is marked as Down when equivalent to 75 consecutive transactions fail for a payment instrument.
You can also define custom thresholds for both severity levels of Outage as per your business logics, if the already existing thresholds are not suitable for you
Provision is also available to set different thresholds for different payment methods to address varying usage behaviours for different payment instruments
