How it Works
Granular Ecosystem Health Monitoring
Juspay Outage monitors health of the ecosystem with high precision across all payment methods and their sub types:
Card transactions: Monitored at card network and bank levels.
UPI transactions:
Monitored for UPI Collect (using handles) and UPI Intent (using PSP apps) flows.
Outage status is monitored for individual UPI handles and PSP apps as well.
Net banking: Monitored at bank level.
Wallet transactions: Monitored for different wallet partners.
Severity Levels & Global Outages
After real-time analysis of payment failures, Juspay Outages categorizes ecosystem health into the following levels:
Good: Indicates the payment method is functioning well without any technical issues, allowing users to proceed with transactions confidently. No action is required.
Fluctuating: Denotes intermittent payment failures with the specific method. Users may opt for alternative methods if available.
Down: Signifies continuous failures with the payment method, advising users to switch to an alternative.
Juspay sets various tolerance thresholds to distinguish between Fluctuating and Down statuses: Aggressive, Default (Recommended), and Lenient.
Merchants can choose from these threshold options or set custom thresholds as needed
In addition to merchant level data, Juspay Outages also uses the aggregate data from other merchants using Juspay to assess system health faster and accurately.
This global information helps individual merchants to alerts users about fluctuations and downtimes in advance and thereby helps in reducing the overall impact on success rates.
Juspay Outages are already enabled for merchants using Juspay Hypercheckout (Payment Page). Please reach out to your Business Key Account Manager in case you have any queries.
Design Variations Available
Outage messages can be displayed on payment page, right below the impacted payment instruments.
Payment instruments that have Fluctuating health status can be highlighted with an error messages
Fluctuation error message Payment instruments that are experiencing Downtime can be highlighted with an error messages or can be greyed out completely so that users can’t choose them
