# Release the Blocked Funds



* Once the funds are blocked during the mandate registration, the funds are released only after invoking [Revoke Mandate API](https://juspay.io/in/docs/upi-autopay/docs/how-to-integrate/revoke-mandate-api) by the merchant.
* Upon revoking the mandate, the status changes from ACTIVE to REVOKED.
