# **Part Payments**

## **Overview**

The Part Payments feature enables merchants to offer users the flexibility to split their payments into multiple parts. Merchants can configure two types of part payments:

1. **Fixed Part Payments** : A predefined split of the order amount with fixed payment amounts and due dates.
2. **Flexible Part Payments** : Users can define their own split amounts within predefined limits (e.g., minimum part amount, maximum parts allowed).

Merchants can pass these configurations in the order create payload, and the system will present available part plans to the user. Merchants can control if they would allow users to have part payment as another payment option (OPTIONAL) along with full swipe or enforce user to mandatorily do part payment only (REQUIRED). Once the user selects a plan, the payment page loads with the first part amount for transaction completion. Future payment page calls will show past payments and upcoming schedules.
