## Overview

Global Payouts lets businesses disburse money, including refunds, vendor payments, loans, and global payroll, instantly and frictionlessly through Juspay's direct integrations with networks, banks, and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) across the world. A single integration processes payouts across local and international rails with real-time execution, lower fees, and built-in foreign exchange (FX).

## One integration, global reach

A single integration gives access to three things at once: reach across 50+ countries, multiple payout rails, and streamlined FX. Payouts run across local and international rails with lower fees and real-time execution, and built-in foreign exchange handles currency conversion. The supported rails include bank transfers, real-time payment (RTP) networks, payment links, card payouts, and third-party wallets, and payout workflows can be built across these payment types without code.

## Payout taxonomy

Payouts can be classified along three dimensions, each of which shapes how a disbursement is built and priced: speed (instant versus scheduled), complexity (single versus bulk), and geography (domestic versus cross-border). A real-time consumer refund, a scheduled monthly payroll run, and a bulk marketplace settlement are different problems, and the product is designed to handle each.

## Payout methods

| Method | How it works |
|---|---|
| Global card payouts | Real-time card payments via Visa Direct and Mastercard Send to accounts, wallets, and cards across major global markets. Bank-account payouts over the Visa network use its ACH/real-time payments fulfilment method, and both push-to-account and wallet payouts via the Visa network are available cross-border. |
| Real-time payouts | Access to real-time payment rails worldwide to send funds instantly. |
| Bank transfers | Local clearing in 50+ countries, including emerging markets, moving money in local currencies to reduce cost. |
| E-wallets | Payouts to popular e-wallets across regions worldwide. |

## Cross-border considerations

International payouts add complexity that domestic ones do not. Exchange-rate volatility can change the amount a beneficiary receives unless the provider locks a rate for a defined window; intermediary banks and forex margins push up fees; settlement can take days where banking infrastructure is limited; and businesses must navigate varying tax and reporting requirements across countries. Payout failures from technical glitches or beneficiary-bank downtime are a further pain point, which is why routing and retries matter for cross-border flows.

## Regional rails and methods

The methods above are region-neutral. Payout rails and regulations differ markedly by market, so the right rail is a local decision. Representative rails, wallets, and banking partners by region include:(Check Juspay Integration page for more details: https://juspay.io/integrations)

- **India:** UPI, IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS for bank transfers, plus RuPay, Visa, and Mastercard cards.
- **United States:** FedNow for real-time transfers, wallets such as PayPal and Venmo, and banks including JPMorgan, Citi, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo.
- **Europe:** SEPA for euro bank transfers, wallets such as PayPal, Skrill, and Neteller, and banks including Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Santander, and BNP Paribas.
- **Latin America:** Pix in Brazil and SPEI in Mexico for real-time transfers, alongside banks including Itaú, Banco Bradesco, and Banco do Brasil.
- **Southeast Asia:** real-time rails such as PromptPay (Thailand) and PayNow (Singapore), wallets including GrabPay, GCash, GoPay, OVO, DANA, ShopeePay, and Touch 'n Go, and banks such as DBS, OCBC, and Maybank.
- **Middle East and North Africa:** banks including Qatar National Bank and First Abu Dhabi Bank, alongside cards and digital wallets.

### India

Juspay's India payouts product disburses refunds, vendor payments, loans, and salary payments through direct integrations with networks, banks, and payment gateways. Its India rails are:

- **Bank account:** payouts via IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS, instantly and around the clock.
- **UPI:** payments sent directly to a recipient's UPI ID.
- **Cards:** 24/7 disbursals to debit and credit cards via IMPS, UPI, Visa Direct, and Mastercard Send.
- **Payout links:** collect recipient details and complete the payout in a single capture-validate-complete flow.

India-specific capabilities include instant COD (cash-on-delivery) refunds via a UPI ID or bank account, bulk payouts by uploading an Excel file on the Juspay dashboard, the ability to connect a merchant's own banking setup, and intelligent scheduling that reduces pending orders by working around gateway and beneficiary-bank downtime.

## Routing, retries, and payout links

To boost payout success rates, merchants build routing rules and recover failed payouts with smart retries, enabling retries based on the error type and the connectors available. Intelligent routing delivers funds faster and at lower cost across domestic and international transfers.

Payout links offer a no-collection alternative: businesses disburse refunds, reimbursements, or cashbacks without collecting recipients' bank details. Links can be branded with the merchant's logo and colours, disburse funds across banks, card schemes, and e-wallets worldwide, and process reliably around the clock through direct integrations with Mastercard and Visa.

## Use cases

Global Payouts is designed for a range of disbursement scenarios: automating vendor payments and accounts payable, processing instant refunds (including e-commerce and COD refunds) on real-time rails, running global payroll, paying marketplace sellers and creators worldwide, disbursing loans directly to borrowers, managing bulk and recurring scheduled payouts, and automatically reconciling payout information end to end.

## Operations

Payout operations are no-code. A single API processes global payouts, a unified dashboard manages all payouts in one place for complete control and analysis, and auto-pilot operations reduce manual effort.
