# **Prerequisites** 



To initiate Pre-Auth transactions, configuration is required on the your Payment Gateway as well as on the Juspay platform.


## **Step 1: Gateway Side Enablement** 



The merchant is responsible for ensuring their payment gateway supports and activates the required features.


| Requirement | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable Pre-Auth Transactions | You must formally request your Payment Gateway provider to enable Pre-Authorization for your merchant account. |
| Enable Capture Features (Partial/ Multiple Partial) | You must request the enablement of either Partial Capture or Multiple Partial Capture, based on your business requirement. |

## **Step 2: Juspay Side Enablement** 



Once the gateway has enabled Pre-Auth features, follow the steps in the Juspay Dashboard to enable the same.


### Step 1.1. Juspay Dashboard Configuration


1. Navigate to **Dashboard**  » **Payments » PG Control Centre**
2. Select the relevant **Gateway.**
3. Go to the **Advanced Features » Edit Advanced Features** .
4. Toggle the required features (**Pre-Auth** , **Partial Capture** , or **Multiple Partial Capture** ) to **Enabled** .

> **Note**
> Currently, the **Checkout gateway**  supports these features. Please contact Juspay Support for an updated list of supported gateways.
