Analytics
Purpose of this Guide
This guide is intended for merchants, developers, and finance teams integrating with Juspay’s Reconciliation & Settlement module. It explains how to use the Analytics & Reporting features to gain actionable insights, identify mismatches, optimize financial processes, and maintain a healthy payment ecosystem.
Why Analytics Matter in Reconciliation
Reconciliation isn’t just about tallying transactions—it’s about building trust, transparency, and control across your payment lifecycle. With multiple parties involved (merchant → payment gateway → bank), discrepancies and delays are inevitable.
“That’s where analytics and reporting play a crucial role.”
Components of the Analytics Dashboard
1. Reconciliation Metrics
Provides a high-level overview of reconciliation activity:
Key Metrics Explained:
|
Metric
|
What It Shows
|
Why It Matters
|
|---|---|---|
Recon Success Rate
| Percentage of total transactions that have been successfully matched
| Helps you assess the health of your reconciliation process
|
Reconciled
| Total number of transactions successfully reconciled
| Indicates the volume of error-free, settled transactions
|
Mismatched
| Count of transactions with data discrepancies across sources
| Pinpoints potential data or integration issues that need attention
|
Missing in Recondemo File
| Transactions present in other sources but missing in Recondemo (merchant file)
| Highlights upload or extraction issues on the merchant side
|
Missing in Gateway File
| Transactions missing in the payment gateway file
| Helps detect missed or delayed entries from the PG side
|
Settlement Amount

| Crucial for monitoring fund flow and planning cash inflows
|
Fee Amount
| Total gateway charges applied on transactions
| Enables cost control and reconciliation of PG fee invoices
|
Tax Amount
| Tax component included in the fees
| Useful for tax reporting and invoice reconciliation
|
Open Issues Panel
| Summary of unresolved issues and total missing transactions across all sources
| Helps prioritize issue resolution with accurate visibility
|
2. Reconciliation Results
This section visualizes the Reconciliation Success Rate over a customizable date range. Merchants can select any period (e.g., last 7 days, 30 days, or a custom range) to view how reconciliation has performed over time.
What It Shows:
A bar chart representing the reconciliation success rate for each selected date within the chosen range.
Each bar displays the percentage of transactions successfully reconciled for that specific date.
3. Reconciliation Ageing
This section shows how quickly your amount is getting settled.
Breaking down Ageing Table:
Transaction Date – When the payment happened
Total Settled Amount – How much was finally credited
Breakdown by Days – How many days it took for the settlement:
Settled in < 1 Day = Same-day or next morning
Settled in 1–2 Days, 2–3 Days, etc. = Delayed settlements
Why it’s useful:
Helps you track delays in getting paid
Gives better control over cash flow planning
Lets you follow up with payment partners if SLAs are missed
4. Fee Analytics
This analysis helps you see how much money you’re spending on payment gateway fees and how many transactions those fees were charged on. It also shows this information by date and gateway, so you can easily track and compare your costs.
Breaking down Fee Analytics:
Fee Amount: ₹107.55 Cr – This is the total amount charged as fees across all gateways
Total Fee Transactions: 59.37 lakh transactions had fees applied
Bar Chart by Date: Shows daily fee trends, helping you spot fee spikes or unusual charges
Why It’s Useful:
Spot overcharges: Sudden spikes (like ₹18.2 Cr on May 4,5&7) can be investigated
Compare gateways: See which gateway is costing you more in fees
Track trends: Monitor fee movement over time to manage costs
5. Summary Table
The Summary Table provides a high-level analytical overview of reconciliation performance across all integrated payment gateways. Also this helps you to get a summary of reconciliation between PG and bank
5.1 For merchants opted for Two-Source Reconciliation
The Summary Table offers a consolidated snapshot of your reconciliation data and helps you quickly assess gateway reliability, identify mismatches, and understand cost breakdowns such as fees and taxes.
Breaking down Summary Table
Gateway 1:
High traffic (99.83%), zero mismatches
₹4890 Cr settled, ₹107 Cr in fees, ₹16.4 Cr in taxes
Gateway 2:
Much lower volume (0.17%), some mismatches (15)
₹30.5 Cr settled, ₹1.97 Cr in fees, ₹2.07 Cr in taxes
How It’s Useful:
Compare performance and reliability of different gateways
Spot data gaps (e.g., what's missing in merchant or gateway files)
Track how much you’re paying in fees and taxes
Make better decisions on gateway usage and cost optimization
5.2 For merchants opted for Three-Source Reconciliation
In addition to the above, the Summary Table also includes a detailed comparison between the payment gateway’s reported settlements and actual credits received in merchants bank account, enabling end-to-end traceability.
How It’s Useful:
Compares payment gateway reports against actual settlements received in your bank account.
Identifies discrepancies where:
The PG claims to have settled an amount, but the bank hasn’t received it.
The settlement amount in the bank doesn't match the PG report (amount mismatches).
