When Merchant wants to update the mandate initiated by them, it must be sent to the customer for approval. Only End Date and Amount can be changed during an update of a mandate. Updating a mandate always requires UPI PIN while No UPI PIN/customer approval is required if the Merchant wants to revoke a mandate.
A response is sent back to the merchant server once the update/revoke mandate request is sent to UPI. In case of a response time-out, Merchant Outgoing Update Mandate Sent callback will be sent back to the Merchant application.
If a response or callback is not received within 60 seconds (configurable), then the payee can trigger the Mandate Status API at regular intervals to get a real-time status or the request. A response will be sent immediately with the status information.
The Merchant Outgoing Update Mandate Callback is sent back to the merchant when the UPI sends the confirmation of Update/Revoke request back to the Juspay PSP.
